Car found. Posessions gone. Friendship massive.

Hello all. For those who read my last post I have an update. My car has been found. It is functional (thankfully) but is not in near as good of shape (transmission grinding, jammed window, broken window rolling thing). This is a relief.

In heartbreaking news almost everything that was in the car is gone. There are a few minute items which were left in the car (some shoes, spices, a tankard, a candle, some bbq sauce, one buffalo nickel, and two broken legs from my grandfather's table) but everything else is gone. Forever.

It is good to have closure and saddening to have all my possessions disappear into the ether, so my mood is a bit mixed. As per my gofundme page, I'll be donating the estimated value of what's left to the heifer project, which is roughly $150/$200 which means $200 to heifer once the gofundme funds are in my account.

To talk about what happened to the gofundme is that it's the most heartwarming thing that's ever happened to me. Not the funds themselves, but all the people coming out to lend a helping hand, to organize and help a fellow human being. So many good people have given their time, condolences, and effort. The friendship is massive. I really don't have words. It's unbelievable. The gofundme tripled it's donation goal to reach $9k, and as per my announcement on the page, this means that after fees from the site a little under $3k will be heading Jenn Blake's way for her gofundme to support her battle against brain cancer. Again: f#k cancer.

I will be using the spillover funds to purchase a new prescription for my glasses, as well as see a dentist. The original funds will go to replace all that I lost as well as enough equipment to rebuild my grandfather's table from memory, using the two old legs that are left.
