I just started up a patreon account: www.patreon.com/viwLong story short
, go support me if you want a new webcomic and more viw art!
If you patron me, at different levels you get to see works early, sketches, inks and even never see the light of day thrown away works. There's a brand new fluttershy that must wait to come to DA but is there right now!
I want to live off of making art. I want to make art for you, my loyal watchers, instead of just the commissioner and their group. I can't afford the time, yet. If 1/10th of my watchers donated $1 each to the patreon, I'd pass the first two goals overnight. If half did I'd pass the last goal.
The people have spoken! According to my last poll, you want a samurai twilight webcomic. Well, I've been doing concept art:
and have a story written out for it. I just need to be able to afford the time to make it, instead of job searching or commission scrounging.
If I make my patreon goals I'll do my best to be the best viw I can be and make all the arts for all of you. I want to do painterly narrative arcs, tell stories through comics and really develop worlds with different characters.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
On commissions changes:Long story short
, my official chart:
Commissions Chart: OfficialEdit: UPDATED
I am now limiting my commissions to two types:
$100 large scale incredibly detailed painterly, such as this:
$10 simple one hour works, such as this:
Extra characters and detail are extra in both. It is possible for the painterly commission to cost less than $100 if it is simple enough, however I want to do larger, grander and all around better works. Hence the change in price.
I've been living on commissions for a little over a whole year! A huge hug and my thanks to all the people who have supported me in this time. Special hugs for my most regular commissioner
Good news aside, I like to think that commissioners deserve the best I can make. Unfortunately my pricing didn't quite reflect that and I was turning out works that I could have done better on if I'd've spent the time on them, but got all the time that was paid for. To that end I've raised the price of painterly works. I expect commissions to be more rare, but of a higher quality for everyone.
